Ms. Aiesha Stover is one of the newest Title I Instructional Specialists. Her background includes teaching elementary and middle school in Title I schools. In addition to teaching, Aiesha has had various leadership roles and piloted the Flipped Classroom in Title 1 Schools. Combining her love of education, policy, and technology she has recently taken over one of the newest initiatives of the department — using eBinders.
Monica Bracho-Handyside, Ph.D. currently serves as an Instructional Specialist in Prince George's County Public Schools. Her experience includes ESOL specialist and ESL instructor. Dr. Handyside has taught graduate level courses in Human Growth & Development, Linguistics, Foundations of ESL, Second Language Acquisition and Teaching ESL Reading and Writing at Catholic University of America and Trinity University. Dr. Handyside advocates for Title I children and families, English Language Learners and students experiencing homelessness. Dr. Handyside is a translator and the author of the book "Metacognition Matters."
Gayle Lomax is a Title I Instructional Specialist for Prince George’s County Public Schools. She has more than 12 years of experience developing, implementing, and monitoring best practices for Title I regulations and programmatic compliance in both Baltimore County and Prince George’s Public School Districts. As an Instructional Specialist she has facilitated professional development trainings on the implementation of the Title I guidelines and Title I components for school administrators, teachers, and parents. Her passion to provide a high-quality education for all students is evident from her varied work experience which expands from a classroom teacher, guidance counselor, and educational lawyer advising school boards on policies, student rights, student discipline, and compliance with local State and Federal regulations.
Kristine Malachi is a Title I Instructional Specialist in Prince George’s County Public Schools located in Maryland. With over 20 years of experience in education, Kristine has passionately been an advocate for children by helping teachers and administrators identify instructional strategies proven to close the achievement gap. Her desire to enable each child to reach their ultimate potential is shown through her work in data analysis, curriculum design, mentoring, team building, and by engaging parents in school governance. Kristine holds a Master degree in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland and currently uses her skill set to help schools design, implement, and monitor their Title I program.
