How do principals enact immediate changes for short-term impact while keeping an eye on long-term, sustainable results? How do principals balance high expectations with high levels of support? In this engaging session, work with two leaders with a track record of successful turnarounds: Taj Jensen, Washington’s National Distinguished Principal of 2015, and Pete Hall, ASCD’s Outstanding Young Educator Award honoree in 2005. Collaborate with colleagues about contextual leadership, learn strategies to build your reflective capacity as a leader, and discuss approaches for simultaneously pushing and pulling your staff and students to greater success. Walk away with the tools, the belief, and the inspiration to impact lasting school improvement!
